Halloween Events Around Casper

Jack Nicholls, Staff Writer

There are many halloween events going around Casper this time of the year. There are lots for children and some for adults!

Haunted houses are a fun and scary attraction around halloween. There are many around Casper, here’s a list of some of them.

  1. One of the more popular is a haunted house run by the Bar Nunn firefighters at the Bar Nunn fire station. This haunted house has had great ratings every year. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The cost to get is $10 per adult, $5 for kids ages 12 and under. This will start Oct 24 and will end on Oct 31.
  2. Another popular haunted house in Casper is the Fort Caspar Ghost Tour, this one goes on every year and it keeps getting better and scarier. This is going on at the Fort Caspar Museum and it will be going on now through October 31st.
  3. This one is hosted by the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Wyoming: This is a free haunted house but $5 donations are accepted to help benefit Greater Wyoming. It starts Oct. 25th and ends Nov. 1st at 4713 Stoneridge way in Casper.
  4. The Hopeful Freights is another popular haunted house. It is only open for three days, Oct. 25th, Oct. 26th, and on Halloween night.

Out of the whole state of Wyoming, Casper was voted to have the second best trick-or-treating spot. According to a poll the best place to trick-or-treat in Casper, is from CY Ave to Coats Rd. It says that “this neighborhood is qualified as the most expensive in Casper,” which most of the time leads to buying big and lots of candy.

To all the trick-or-treaters this year, be safe, have fun, and get lots of candy.
