Recently a lot of celebrities have been moving to Wyoming or have property here and some people are not happy about it. 

Kanye West is a 43 year old celebrity. According to Biography.com, he is known for being an award-winning rapper, record producer and fashion designer. He is prone to controversy and he also became popular because of his marriage to Kim Kardashian. West wasn’t the first celebrity to move to Wyoming but the news of him coming here was the most popular. 

Another person who got a lot of attention for moving to Wyoming recently was Jeffree Star. Star is a 34 year old, known for his makeup company and for being very harsh and critical on Youtube. He first became famous in the early 2000’s for being a MySpace musician. Star became really popular after his makeup video and after that he started gaining millions of dollars with his makeup company, Jeffree Star Cosmetics. 

Kanye West first came to Wyoming sometime in 2017 as a “visit.” He came here because he was hospitalized on something called a “psychiatric emergency.” Then in 2018 he came to Wyoming again to spend a lot of time here working on his album “Ye.”  According to Kim Kardashian West, West’s dream and vision was to move here, but because Kim likes L.A. more she only sees summers and some weekends here. Did you know that in 2015 at an awards ceremony, West said that in 2020 he would try and become president? Now, it is 2020 and he is a candidate. 

On the other hand Star moved here to cope with all the drama that he got into. Star has said that he decided to move here because he wanted to find peace and solidarity here. He moved here late 2020, he bought a ranch and is staying in Billings part time, he moves around/lives in L.A., Montana, and here in Wyoming. Then, on September 10th, he made a stop here to Casper. 

One of the different dramas he got himself into before he moved to Wyoming was his drama with Shane Dawson, Tati Westbrook, and James Charles in what many people call “Dramagenddon.” Dramagenddon first started in late 2018 early 2019 when Tati Westbrook posted a video to her Youtube channel called “Bye Sister” where she dissed and got upset with James Charles, then after they settled things a few months later Westbrook posted on her Youtube a video called “Breaking My Silence” and in that video she brought up all the past drama and also brought Star and Dawson in it, claiming that they set her up and that they practically blackmailed her. 

The most recent drama with Star is one with his alleged new boyfriend, who supposedly stole from his home in L.A. and started making rumors on Instagram, he later said on his Youtube that he will be taking legal action. 

A few celebs that live in Wyoming or have a place here are  Harrison Ford, Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, Pippa Middleton, Tiger Woods, Uma Thurman, Christy Walton, Dick Cheney, Bill Gates,  and Matthew McConaughey. Most of the time, celebs come here for the scenery and the privacy. A lot of them have said that Wyoming provides the privacy that the more popular cities like L.A. can’t provide. 

In my personal opinion, I believe that it’s fine and actually very cool that celebrities are coming here, but the ones that are very problematic and bring drama here should leave and stay in L.A. For instance if a movie star came here, it would be amazing, but there are a few celebrities that should just stay away.
